To get a business visa to China (M type), you must submit an application along with a set of documents. One of the required documents is an invitation letter from a trade show&#8217;s organizers or your Chinese business partner (in mainland China). What information must be included in the invitation letter for a business visa to China?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Business visa to China \u2013 invitation letter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why do you need a business visa to China?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A business <a href=\"https:\/\/examinechina.com\/blog\/visa-to-china\/\">visa to China<\/a> allows you to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>attend and exhibit at trade fairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>visit factories<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>go on a business trip for business meetings, negotiations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conduct other commercial and trade activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The M visa can be single, double, or multiple-entry into the PRC. Usually, you can stay in China for a maximum of 90 days on this visa. It has various validity periods: 3, 6, or 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For your business visa application, you must provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li>passport valid for at least the next 6 months with two blank visa pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>photocopy of the information page and extension page (if applicable) of the passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a complete visa application and two recently taken color passport photos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an invitation letter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other documents may be required.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Invitation Letter to China<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can either submit a PU letter (a pre-approval document issued by a Chinese Government agency) or an invitation letter from a Chinese institution\/company. Note that in most cases, the applicant must appear in person. The visa to China is issued by your local PRC consulate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How long does it take to get a Chinese Business Visa?&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Although it depends on your local visa application center, in most cases, to get a Chinese visa, it takes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4 business days (regular service)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 business days (express service)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 business days (urgent service).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Traveling to Hong Kong from mainland China<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you plan to <a href=\"https:\/\/examinechina.com\/blog\/travel-to-hong-kong\/\">travel to Hong Kong<\/a> from China and back to China (China-Hong Kong-China route), you must apply for a double-entry visa.
